Saw "Looney Tunes - Back in Action" tonight. It was pretty good. Bugs and Daffy were spot-on...much better than in "Space Jam" I felt. This was really a LT movie in spirit. Lots of laughs and all that. The Steven Martin (main villain) character was a little too screwball for me...a little too "Doctor Evil" I think...and after 3 Austin Powers movies I'm REALLY sick of that kind of humor. I think Martin could have played it a little like Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor in "Superman"...that would have been preferable.
We went to a 7:45pm showing, after dinner at Chevy's. We sat in the balcony and there were *maybe* a half-dozen people up there with us. I did not see the theater below but I don't imagine it was crowded.
I'm looking for 'Matrix Revolutions' to win the weekend and LT:BIA to make *maybe* between $20-30 million at the box office. And 30 is a big stretch. It'll come in fourth I'd say...behind MR, "Master and Commander", and (possibly) Elf. Brother Bear will do ok but LT will make a little more.
We'll see how right I am on Monday. :)
