I think getting older (or at least getting married since I'm not that old) means you no longer go to the movies for the 'event' movies unless you think they'll be really good. For instance...The Matrix Revolutions. In the past, I would have gone because it was the thing to do. Also, because it's the third film in a trilogy. And maybe I'd like it, maybe I wouldn't, but I would have gone (probably on opening night) and contributed to the opening weekend grosses.

Well, I thought 'The Matrix Reloaded' sucked and because I've had a ton of other things to do I haven't gotten around to seeing the third film. Maybe I'll wait until it's on DVD...who knows? Same thing with Bad Boys 2 and Charlie's Angels 2 (which I did eventually see in a matinee at the end of its theatrical run). I've just got too much to do to get all geared up to see some movie that'll probably suck. Also, I don't want to encourage these movie's makers by plunking down my cash for junk.

Some movies I'm looking forward to seeing: Elf, Looney Tunes: Back in Action, The Cat in the Hat (presence of gray cat notwithstanding), Timeline, The Hanted Mansion, and LOTR: The Return of the King.
