China kills 50,000 dogs in campaign against rabies: "Dogs being walked were seized from their owners and beaten to death on the spot, the Shanghai Daily newspaper reported. Led by the county police chief, killing teams entered villages at night creating noise to get dogs barking, then beat the animals to death, the reports said."
This is absolutely horrible. Words just can't express.

ISN'T COMMUNISM JUST GRAND, THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC HUH? I WANT TO SAY THAT THERE ARE ONLY 5 COUNTRIES THAT RUN A COMMUNIST PARTY, BUT WHEN CUBA DECIDES IT HAS HAD ENOUGH OF FIDEL AND HIS REGIME THAT COUNTRY WILL BECOME ONE OF THE WEALTHIEST CARRIBEAN COUNTRIES.
WOULDN'T IT HAVE BEEN SIMPLER TO INSTITUTE A RABIES LAW AND HAVE THE OWNERS SHOW PROOF THAT THE DOGS ARE RABIES FREE. WHY NOT PICK UP ALL THE STRAYS AND DESTROY THEM? QUESTIONS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RAISED.
SCREW CHINA AND THERE PEOPLE. JAPAN RULES.
It's a horrible thing to do. I can't imagine living there and somebody trying to do that to my dog.
