CNN.com - Bush: We will complete the mission - Aug 24, 2005

(this is the story I speak about below)

I saw something on CNN today that made me think. Cindy Sheehan (sp?) was returning to Crawford to resume her protest. I guess there are also people there that are supporting the President too. Anyway, during some meet-and-greet somewhere the White House produced the mother of a family where the husband and one son just returned from Iraq and the other two kids are still over there. They're in support of the President and our mission (whatever that is, natch) in Iraq. The mother did say that Cindy Sheehan is mourning in her own way, and it's not particularly the way she would mourn, so I thought that was nice. Anyway. I'll say two things.

- Trotting out (and this was a trot-out, no doubt) this family to put them as an argument answring the Sheehan people seems pretty silly. Also, I'd say that if (G*d forbid) somebody in this woman's family is killed her support for the President might fall, especially if she starts thinking a lot about why we're over there and what prompted this.

- Secondly, I heard the President say that if we leave now 'the terrorists' will have thought they beat us. I don't have the exact quote, but he basically said the old "If we run away with our tail tucked" dealio. I'm just wondering...what do 'the terrorists' have to do with why we're in Iraq?

The President continuously uses a lot of terms that dance around the fact that he believes people who are against the Iraq war are not patriotic. That makes me want to puke.

Are you some kind of hippie commie? Like TKeg, all those men and women made a choice to join the armed services, knowing damn well that they might have to be called out for some war with meaning or not. Either way, if you don't like stay in Canada when you go there to visit, I'll take my chances with apple pie, baseball and all american girls with beautiful ta-tas.

Every war is a political war. I'm sure no ne wants a history report, but WWII served a purpose to our economy when we had a severe depression ou our hands besides being attacked at PH, Hawaii. Like with this war, oil, we depend on oil to keep our economy rolling, bitch all you want about other sources of energy but this is what we need NOW, strive to find some thing for the future but right now oil. Besides oil we were attacked and Irag and other mid-eastern countries supported them. Point 2: the treatment of these people by the Sadaam regime, in-human, these people had no rights. The government, choosen by the people, strives to make the choices that the majority of us want and whats good for the majority. Bitch all you want, hug a tree, smoke some marijuana cigareetes (drugs are bad, mkay), screw a stranger and pray that everyone involved in the war(thats on the GI Joe team) stays safe.

Later - I'm out

Hello, if it's about oil, and we basically conquered Iraq but for some insurgents and stuff, where's all our oil? Gas prices are higher than they've been in years.

Also, hello, is it out job to go around knocking down dictators and stuff? That's a LONG list.

Last I checked, we went in there for WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION! And, guess what?? NONE WERE FOUND!! Getting the USA into a protracted war under FALSE pretense should have been reason enough not to have the guy re-elected. Go ahead and delude yourselves into thinking it was due to other reasons, but we all know what the reason given to the American public to go into Iraq. AND IT WAS A LIE!!!!!!!

Thats your first problem, you believed a politician.

Thats like you believing the following famous lines:
1) Checks in the mail.
2) Black is beautiful.
&
3) I promise baby, I won't cum in your mouth.

If for any reason you believed for a second that we were going in to Iraq for weapons of mass destructions, than you must have been one of just a handful.

Everyone from the media, democrats, and school children knew we were going in to take out Sadaam as a sort of revenge for Bush's dad. Its hard to keep oil low with the damn stock market controling the prices. England and other European countries pay upwards of $5/gallon. Lets use all of Iraqs oil and worry about our reserves when we tap out theirs. We're bigger, badder and damn sexy.

As for Rich's comment about knocking down dictators, it is our job if it gets in our way financialy. Castro has nothingto offer, you can steel Cuban cigar seed and they grow every where outside of Cuba, but Iraq has oil and buried treasures. Don't you remember,"We three kings be stealing the middle east". Love it because I have plenty more for the football season.

"Thats your first problem, you believed a politician."

Yeah, tell that to the parents of the of the sons/daugthers who have died in the Iraq War.

"Everyone from the media, democrats, and school children knew we were going in to take out Sadaam as a sort of revenge for Bush's dad".

Oh, is that why Powell went to the U.N. to SELL A LOAD OF BS on why the US was going into Iraq? Ok, gotcha.

"it is our job if it gets in our way financialy."

Oh, is that why US soldiers are dying over there?? For US finacial gain? Ok. Yeah. Uh... later...much.

This not the first war or last war. The same arguments you just made probably had been made during all the other wars that the US has been involved in. Tell me there was no financial gain that we looked for in any other war. Its always about power, money, land or a woman. Once again, And I don't know how many times I have to say it to get it through your hippie mind, our soldiers chose this profession and now they are being called into duty. Either way, if it wasn't Bush in office someone else would have sent them over. Believe what you want while you stay up all night playing City of Gods, but the people that make the decisions know alot more than you or me when it comes to the issues at hand. Its not like they tell us everything, so we don't know the entire story.

I'm sure Iragi people who are citizens in the US with family over there are glad that we stepped in and ousted Sadaam and are trying to place that country in order. You would have loved to be alive during Nam.

MINDLESSLY OBEY, baby!

I really don't make it a point to bitch about it at all. When I hear or see something on the news that makes no sense I just point it out.

I make it a point to point out to people to THINK for themselves. Not just say stuff like "people that make the decisions know alot more than you or me when it comes to the issues at hand". "Its not like they tell us everything, so we don't know the entire story." Yeah, it's hard to know what's the truth when you start off with LIES! I guess you're ok with the President of the US sending US soldiers into war for whatever reason (since you keep saying they signed up for it), so whatever happens to them, happens.

Damn straight, since the tax money we pay the government sent them to college, time to earn it now.

Arnold, I'm going to have to buy you a drink one day.
