CNN.com - Charges not ruled out for runaway bride - May 1, 2005

This woman should face charges. Her 'getaway' was totally pre-meditated considering she bought that bus ticket and all that.

Over the weekend I saw John Walsh being interviewed by Anderson Cooper. John Walsh was advocating how there are so many missing people (particularly women) lost/abducted/etc that you just don't hear about and how there are only some that actually get out into the press sphere and that maybe that will help finding this woman. John Walsh, whose own son was abducted and killed.

How do you think he feels today? This woman should be in the slammer.

That's kinda harsh don't you think? Prison time for what she did? Is it her fault that the media was all over her story and not some other cases involving missing persons? C'mon she just made a bad decision.

Yeah, but she also knew all about the 'world' thinking she had been abducted. She even lied about being abducted when she first showed up. Maybe no prison time, but her or her family should have to pay restitution for the money they went to pay police officers and such that spent time trying to find her.
